Terms of Service
Last updated: March 28, 2026
1. Service Description
ORVO Health ("Orvo," "we," "us") operates a medical bill data aggregation platform. We collect publicly available hospital pricing data from CMS Medicare fee schedules and hospital machine-readable files published under federal price transparency rules (45 CFR Part 180), and present it in a format that allows users to compare their billed charges against published market rates.
2. What Orvo Is Not
Please read this section carefully.
Orvo is a data aggregation and comparison tool. We do not provide medical advice, legal advice, financial advice, or insurance guidance. We do not negotiate bills on your behalf. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, savings, or reduction in charges. The data we present is for informational purposes only.
Any actions you take based on Orvo's data — including contacting providers, disputing charges, or requesting adjustments — are taken at your own discretion and risk. We recommend consulting with qualified professionals for medical, legal, or financial decisions.
3. Data Accuracy
Our pricing data is sourced from publicly available government and hospital filings. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all data is current, complete, or error-free. Hospital pricing changes frequently, and published data may contain errors at the source. Orvo is not responsible for inaccuracies in source data.
4. User Accounts
You create an account by verifying your email address via one-time passcode. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your email account. Orvo uses passwordless authentication — we never store a password for your account.
5. Bill Upload & Processing
By uploading a bill to Orvo, you represent that:
- —You have the right to share this document for the purpose of price comparison
- —You understand that we extract only billing codes, procedure descriptions, and dollar amounts
- —You understand that the original document is automatically deleted within one hour of processing
- —You have reviewed and accept our Privacy Policy regarding data handling
You may review and edit extracted data before analysis. Edits cannot be made after payment has been processed.
6. Pricing & Payments
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are in US dollars. Single analysis payments are non-refundable once the report has been generated. Annual Pass subscriptions may be cancelled at any time; cancellation stops future billing but does not provide a prorated refund for the current period.
7. Intellectual Property
Reports generated by Orvo are provided for your personal use. You may share your own reports. The underlying aggregated pricing data, platform design, and analysis methodology are the intellectual property of ORVO Health. You may not scrape, reproduce, or redistribute our aggregated data or platform.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ORVO Health shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Orvo in the 12 months preceding the claim. This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the data will be accurate, complete, or current, or that use of our data will result in any particular outcome.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which ORVO Health is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the applicable federal or state courts.
11. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. The arbitration shall be conducted in English and the seat of arbitration shall be determined by the AAA. Each party shall bear its own costs, except that Orvo will pay all arbitration filing fees and administrative costs for claims under $10,000. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in court for intellectual property disputes. You may opt out of this arbitration clause by sending written notice to support@orvo.health within 30 days of creating your account.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Acceptance
By creating an account or using the Orvo platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
